Circle of Song is a multi-generational community chorus that sings a wide variety of music in four-part harmony. Attractive to experienced singers who are good readers and looking for a challenge musically, it is also a teaching/learning chorus for those who want to become better readers where the talents and abilities of all members are utilized creatively. Learning tapes are made for those who need them. Instrumental accompaniment comes from within, so if you play something, we can use that also. Membership is $25/year.
Circle of Song also collaborates with local instrumentalists. Over the years we have performed with accordions, strings, brass, woodwinds and percussion. Circle of Song sings from September through May, meeting weekly on Thursday evenings at Quabbin Regional High School's Chorus Room from 7 to 9 p.m. We perform twice annually, at Christmas time and in May, with other special concerts sprinkled throughout the year. The chorus sings a lot of classical, world music, American traditional, spirituals, and anything gorgeous that comes our way and suits our fancy.
