Circle of Song is a multi-generational community chorus that sings a wide variety of music in four part harmony. Attractive to experienced singers who are good readers and looking for a challenge musically, it is also a teaching/learning chorus for those who want to become better readers where the talents and abilities of all members are utilized creatively. COS is directed by Julie Rawson with occasional guest directing appearances by other local musicians. Instrumental accompaniment comes from within, so if you play something, we can use that also.

We often collaborate with local instrumentalists also. Over the years we have performed with accordion, strings, brass, woodwinds and percussion. Recently the Resurrection Brass has been added as a feature at COS concerts. Jim Pavao and Julie Rawson are members of both groups. Steve Aliquo and Joe Orszulak join us to make a quartet.

The group sings from September through May. We have a major concert at Christmas time and one in May, with other special concerts sprinkled throughout the year. The chorus sings a lot of classical, world music, American traditional, spirituals, and anything gorgeous that comes our way and suits our fancy. Please go to the Concerts page to see our concert program for the coming season.

Circle of Song invites new members to join. Membership is on a sliding scale of $40 - $70/year, $25/year for students. Chorus members range in age from children to 80 and from beginning musicians to professionals in the field. Rehearsals will start Thursday, February 6, 2020, and will continue at Julie and Jack's home on Thursdays from 7-8:30 PM.
